Two of those you can put on a resume. The third is the one apprentices actually remember.

Sebastian brings the discipline and teamwork of Marine Corps service together with hands-on utility field experience as a Journeyman Lineman — a foundation in utility operations and field safety built the long way, in the field.

What his students single out, though, is how he teaches. He’s known for a calm, mentoring approach to developing students into new apprentices and exceptional lineworkers. Anyone who has been nervous about learning a new skill knows what a difference it makes to be talked through a task by someone who isn’t raising their voice.

At Alpha Omega he leads training delivery and drives the continuous improvement of our instructional programs — which is to say the classes get better because he keeps making them better.

Discipline is easy to teach loudly. Sebastian does it the other way.

Next up: Janine Huelsman, Administrator. She worked her way up from customer service to training manager before joining AO, and today she keeps things running smoothly for the team and our customers.
