Training Tomorrow's Workforce

Jackson College unveils its new Applied Technology Center

Jackson College opened its Applied Technology Center — the Jackson, Michigan facility where AO Safe delivers hands-on utility training. The article below is the college's story: its investment in the building and in the skilled-trades careers it feeds. We are sharing it because that pole yard, that bench, and that shop floor are where our students and crews actually train.

Magazine page headlined “Training Tomorrow’s Workforce — Jackson College unveils new Applied Technology Center”, with photographs of climbers working up a wooden utility pole, students at shop equipment, a ribbon-cutting with oversized scissors, and a crew hauling on a rope indoors.View the full-size clipping(opens in a new tab)

The Jackson College Applied Technology Center is a bold investment in the future of our students and the strength of our region.

Where AO Safe Fits In

The article covers Jackson College and the facility itself; it does not name Alpha Omega. AO Safe is one of the training providers working out of the ATC — students in our utility and CDL programs learn on equipment like the gear pictured here.
