Meet the Team · No. 01
Lineman.
Engineer.
Instructor.
Most safety programs are written by people who have never worked the job they’re writing about. Ours isn’t.
This is the first in a short series introducing the people behind AO Safe — who they are, where they came from, and what they actually do here. We’re starting at the top.
Jeremy
Adcock
Director of Training
& Safety Programs
A Department of Labor–certified Journeyman Lineman, Jeremy came up through Lansing Board of Water & Light in both engineering and field roles — which is a less common path than it sounds. Plenty of people know the theory. Plenty know the pole. Far fewer have stood in both places.
He went on to work as a field engineer, advising utilities on work practices and installation quality — the kind of role where you spend your days looking at how a job was actually done versus how it was supposed to be done. That gap is where most incidents live.
It’s also the reason our training doesn’t stop at the certificate.
What Jeremy leads at AO
▸ Safety program delivery
▸ Continuing education
▸ The Jackson College Utility Worker Program
When you book a class with us, Jeremy is the reason the person at the front of the room has been where your crew is going.
Next up: Richard “Scotty” Scott, Utility Program Director — line work, tower training, and the program he’s building next.
